Example: I make a cube in 3dsmax, animate it very simple rotating in all three axes with 100frames. Export is as 3ds, convert it to x with Deep Exploartion.

Ok ,I used DB 1.x for a long time and limb angle z() was
never fixed! (rip off) .However Limb angle x() and Limb angle y() worked fine.

Now DBS expands the ripoff to include all of them:
Limb angle x() - not working !
Limb angle y() - not working !
Limb angle z() - not working !

All of them return 0 with the same example!!!

Err WTF has the limb angle got to do with your object animation?

The limb angles are fine and return exactly what they should as this code demonstrates:

I used a simple cube example just to keep the example as
simple as possible to avoid miss-understanding, it's amazing
you still didnt get it!
The point is: I cant use dbpro to make my models, thats should be easy enough to understand. I use 3dsmax to do them.
So if I cant return the current angle of the max
animated cube (or character or wathever), HowTheFxxk am I
supposed to return which way it is facing in its current animation frame ???
BTW, As I stated over this worked (almoust) in DBC!!!

From the manual:

"Specifying a limb number of zero provides
access to the objects own root data, and should not normally be used in this way"

You have not created any limbs, you have not positioned or rotated any limbs and therefore the limb angle command will return a FALSE (zero) just like it ought to.

Maybe they're called "limbs" in 3D Studio, I don't know, but as far as Pro is concerned you've not made any.

What you want is the rotation angle of a specific frame of an animation - except the object hasn't actually rotated at all, it's world coordinates are still exactly the same it's just been animated that way. Basically, I can't see how you can do this be it in DB or DBPro.

Well, if you actually tryed to change to limb 1, you would
see a nice message telling u:
Runtime Error - Limb does not exist at line xx

Once again I'll repeat myself, this (almoust) worked in DBC.
DBC returns the correct limb angle x(),limb angle y() but
not limb angle z().
DBP doesnt return any of them right.

I'll post a DBC example later...

WHOoPS! there is a mistake, the functions in question are
not the Limb Angle() but Limb Direction().
It's been so long since I've used these functions that I've
forgot the difference. Sorry about that.

However the problem is the same, the program I'm working on
now needs Limb Direction() to work properly. But since those
functions aren't working the way they are supposed to I'm
stuck!.
Some of my old DBC projects got dumped as well becouse of
the Limb Direction Z() never got fixed.

Now that I need these functions again I'm surprised that
none of them work!

And here is you're proof:
http://galileo.spaceports.com/~bassi2k2/Downloads/LimbDirection.zip

The file contais both DBC and DBP executables and common source code.
