This great 3D sequel created in DB follows up the Slayer: Battle Tanks series with a bang. Featuring all new creative levels, intelligent AI and more tanks. It was recently calculated that you could play a different game of Slayer: Battle Tanks II every day for more than 154 years!

This game is a really good one. It has full 3D environments and fun game play. Choose from 21 vehicles, 8 pre-installed songs (but you can listen to your own), choose from 4 3D levels, 4 challenging scenarios, and play how you like!

You can go to places like Abandoned Island, Fort McDonald, Castle, and City Streets. Play scenarios like Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, 1 player challenges, Shootout, and new this time around; Goaltender.

This game is near 13 MB to download and can be downloaded from the official site here: http://www.slayerbattletanks2.tk.

Here are some screenshots:

You really shouldnt' post this twice. It's called spamming. As for your game I will post my thoughts here when I have D/L it.

OK, I must say that I couldn't play it. It was really jerky. I noticed it in the intro film as well. Either you've set the Sync rate low. Havn't turned on Manual sync or Its a problem on my end. I don't think its my PC thats causing it though.

Sorry about the double post
The sync rate is 1000 but it's different on some computers. I've tried it on about 5 and each one plays sort of different. I made the game on Windows98 and on XPs it plays better, but, I little jerky. The only vehicle its very noticable on is the Anti-Aircraft Artillry when using First Person Mode.

Yeah, Sorry for double posting, I hope it doesnt get locked .
Well, the game isn't too hard to finish. It may take a while if the computer gets a groove on shooting you

1000?!? My computer can't even get that with only a cube on the screen. Why so high? Humans don't notice it to be any more smoother much past 60 anyway.

Just figured that 1000 is better than what I was using for the first game. I'm running a Windows 98 (like I said before) and I can reach it. What kind of computer are you using, Benjamin?

I tried 10,20,30,40,50 and some others but they weren't as fast at 1000. It may be your DirectX version, I'm not sure. It's worked on all of the computers I tested it on though.

So, any comments about the game play?

You can reach 1000 FPS? If you want the best speed for all PCs use Sync rate 0. But as Benjamin said 60 would be fine. And as for people commenting on the gameplay, well they can only do that if they can get over the jerkiness of it. I suggest you release a patch which fixes this pretty major problem

Darn! I was searching my code, and I found the command sync rate 1000 but then a few lines down after a few loading cycles, I found sync off. So, sorry, I guess it just plays the normal sync rate

Any other comments?

No, I'm working on it though. My internet is 56K Dial-up so I'll have to go to a friend's house to re-upload to my FTP. Sorry.

ALSO: I tested it on 3 other computers and they don't seem so jerky. It might be your computer (however I'm not pointing fingers because I understand I put sync off which was a minor mistake). If I had put the sync on, the tanks would be way too fast! I tried that out and they shot across the level in 2 seconds! It works better this way.) Other than that, I don't know why it's jerky on your computer.

You have a current version of DirectX right? That's my only guess.

Did anyone else experience the "jerkiness" in the game? And did anybody beat the game yet?

Change it to Sync On : sync rate 60.

Yeah, lower your sync rate. 1000 is ridiculous.

I think the standard sync rates are 60 and 30... that's what profetional games seem to run at usualy.

The screenshots seem a little on the dark side, but, the I don't think is all that dark. As for the sync rate 1000 it was totally omitted because my code went like this sync rate 1000 : sync off (of course a line down, though).

I'm working on another game which should have the sync on and is an adventure. I don't want to "spam" so I won't say anymore.

Other than the jerkiness, what did you guys think? And, back to the jerkiness, I didn't really see that much jerkiness in the game. I don't know. I'll try to get it re-uploaded but I have a lot of after-school stuff so I don't know when I'll get to it, probably the weekend but - I have speech and debate. I could do it next weekend - wait I have a speech and debate meet. Looks like I'm booked for a few weeks, sorry

you know...putting your sync rate at 1000 won't always make your game run at 1000 fps...

all it does is slow your game down if it's running higher than 1000...

if the computer can't run it at 1000 (or higher) then it will just run at what it can...

Never thought of it that way......so I guess if I would've put it at 1000 then nobody should've said anything! LOL

Oh, well. I'll do better on my next one. The second version of Slayer: Battle Tanks II, with the "bugs" fixed should be coming soon. I'll keep you posted. Now that we've got the sync deal taken care of, has anyone beaten it yet?
