Most have gotten one of 'em. Many have gotten much more. Bugs are a standard issue, and it is sad. Therefore i ask, is TGC planning on releasing a patch for the FPSCreator? I really think that it is necessary.

You'll have to be patient mate, patches take time...especially with a small dev and test team. Fixing bugs in programs often create more bugs as a consequence which also have to be bugged, fixed and regressed. I'm not too sure what sort of schedule they have planned but I'd personally say as a guesstimate there'll be at least a month if not longer before we'll see the first patch.

Rule #1 of programming and getting out patches...

NEVER give a date when something will come out.

You can be quite sure that when TGC gets around to it, there will be a patch.

They're probably working on it as we speak, and I agree with the deadline thing too Cellbloc

But it would be nice to see a list of known bugs, to avoid tons of similar bugreports...

Also, I think it is a bad idea from Lee to let us "refresh" our old bugpostings. (see his diary)
A sticky "add your bugs here" including the "known bugs" in the first post (maintained by Lee) would be more efficient.

Otherwise - we could flood the support email with our findings...
But I guess this would be a bit too expensive for TGC - and less productive.

Need to also remember that it is basically 2 guys supporting like 3-4 major products. Dark Basic, Dark Basic Pro, Dark Game SDK, FPSCreator.

Since FPSCreator was built using Dark Basic Pro, they may have found an program in the Dark Basic Pro itself. Now, they would need to fix Dark Basic, Dark Basic Pro, Dark Game SDK AND FPSCreator. That's a lot of work for 2 guys.

There have been bugs in Dark Basic Pro that have been sitting around for a couple of years that are still not fixed.

So Don't Panic, it will come around soon.

Dude! Lee and mike and the others are THE best programmers EVER! I;d like to see Microsoft build something like DBP or even DBC. CAuse all they could come up with is a REALY confusing thing called [i]Windows[i/]

I may not be good in school, may not hae had a girl for a while, ma not had a social life in years, BUT I"M STILL THE ONLY ONE IN SCHOOL WHO KNOWS HOW TO MAKE GAMES!!!

Um, you do realize that DBP in part is a wrapper for DirectX?

Yes, but has MS created such a programming language like ANY TGC have? No. All they could pull off is DX. And thats only to help programmers. My oint realy is, Lee Bamber is SOOOOOOO much smarter than Billy Gates.

Visual C++ is from Microsoft. Bjarne Stroustrup from AT&T developed c++ from c - he basically derived an object oriented language from c (which was also developed at AT&T).

The majority of commercial software is written in c++. Gone are the nightmare days of hard coding low level machine code! Thank gawd for that!!!

@Mr Flowerkohl:

Wow! Another true coder.

Hey, what's that routine in asm to read the voltage of the Pentium CPU again?

Cannot quite remember, it's been a few years.

@ Chris, yea, actually, MS has created a programming language that almost all professional game programmers use, and guess what its called C++ whoa!!! not, i mean come on, C++ is an OpenGL programming language, not DirectX Based. OpenGL is so much better for high quality market games, you should really check into what MS creates before saying stuff like that. i bet you that DBC and DBPRO is written in C++

It would be nice if on the fpscreator site tgc would put up a page that has a fix schedule just for users reference.
I don't mean showing dates or anything like that just bugs that tgc has acknowledged exist and they are either working on or are going to work on in the future so people know a bit more what is going on.

True, maybe a bugtraker that shows current 'reproduced' bugs and if they are fixed in the upcoming patch.
