So, have you found a new name for your game? Even if Starlord already exists, it's a very very very old game, and you're adding 'Omega' so, for me, it's ok, I like it.

well, if i can find something i like better that is not taken already...
it's so hard to find something good that's not used.
...
[edit] also, laurent, your opinion matters, so maybe we'll keep it...

Glad this is going well for you. My project is still stalled due to work, but I hope to get things going again soon.

I really like the addition of the ground based fighting. I was hoping to work on a system to do that as well, but not for the initial release, but an add-on or sequel probably (assuning there is even a first one).

Can't wait to see the final product.

thanks to all for the attention and help.

lack of money, having to work my "real" job more, and my upcoming marriage
have put an amazing dent in my programming time/motivation.

not to mention upgrade 6 beta 2 crashing my code in undefinable ways.

i really want to finish this project, but it's going to take even longer than i thought.

Sorry for kicking this up.

Hey, I don't know, but I was kind of impressed by this game - so, if you are still working on this, I would like to offer my services as space artist. I can do nebulae (self-made or enhanced glitterado), planets (self-made or enhanced LunarCell), suns and basic ship creation in 3d. My texturing is kinda bad, so I'm more of a 2D artist.

My recent work includes:
- graphical work for SW3D games, www.starwraith.com
- artwork for SolarVoyager, www.solarvoyager.com
- graphical works for Target, egyptian design company, no site available

I've got experience with working with deadlines, altho' I will have to add that from the 9th of July I will be unavailable for five weeks (vacation).

I was impressed by your Team Request, as were many. I hope I can be of any help. I don't think I'll be putting any limitations or stuff on my work, altho' a small thanks (for future reference and my portfolio) would be nice .

If you are interested and still working on it, please mail me at: tha [underscore] rami [at] gmail [dot] com

hey the_rami,
sounds good but i haven't worked on this in a while...
i just got married 1 week ago, and it has been a very stressful
and busy 6 months (yeah...it's ridiculous...)
i have been working on a bunch of little projects lately,
but not this one...it's so big and i worked on starlord for about
3 years...
plus GalCiv2 came out...it's really intimidating graphically...

we'll see...

Heh, doesn't matter. I'm always looking for work which has good potential and this fitted in nicely .

Nothing ridiculous about being busy, congratulations on your marriage .

If you ever pick it up again, just drop me a mail and we'll see if we can work together .

Oh yeah, GalCiv2 is nice, but your game isn't bad at all. Like said, I search for potential and I saw a lot of that here. So, again, might you ever pick it up again (or start a new space-related game), just drop me the line .

Galciv 2 was also done by a team of people, how many people did it take to do this game?

But it being intimidating graphically shouldnt stop you. I got merried over 2 months ago, its just like dating only if you break up she gets half your stuff.

But anyhow congrats.

StarLord springs to mind as a name already used somewhere else. Perhaps StarFray?
