Hi Guys and Gals,

I have given you seven days with FPSC so you should all be experts using FPSC now I have a little job for one or two of you, if you have more time than me, don't mind working for free and seek fame more than gold. I have started two short game demos, one for PC Format and one for PC Gamer. I have spent two days on them and cannot afford to spend too much more time adding those small details that make it special. That is where you come in.

Email me at lee@thegamcreators.com with a screenshot of your very best level design work if you meet the following criteria:

1. You have the FPSC V1 version
2. You have experience enough to have made your own 'poly friendly' levels
3. You have plenty of time in the next two weeks
4. You want your name in the game, not gold in your pocket
5. You can start right away

I will zip up my latest efforts of both games and email them to you with any custom media I have collected for the project. The deadline is near the end of October so I will be taking them off you again mid-October so you do not have much time. The levels are already playable, they just need 'enhancing' a degree or two.

Define plenty. I have approximately 3 minutes a day between work, kids, eating, sleeping, meetings and breathing.

Should be a nice achievement to add to someone's CV...published in PC Format and PC Gamer. Let us know when it's out so we can have a look

Anlino,
PC Gamer and PC Format are about as big as PC magazines get, and the coverdisks are usually the best out of all the PC mags - it's a scary amount of fame for some lucky FPSC'ers , and I've got a feeling that most people would try the demo games before the application demo - I know I would.

No pressure .

The screenshot with your email is so I can whittle down the candidate(s) for the job. The levels are already complete but the same amount of time again can be spent moving furniture, adding tweaks, moving enemies, changing weapon strengths and the thousand other little tasks that turn a level into a playfest

@Lee:

I'm not a huge fan of using the prefabs that come with FPSC and I do all my own art, or hire out for it as well as sound, graphics, etc. The screen shot you want, you want it with the media supplied?

Thanks!

P.S.
Please don't ask for the models nor art. Thanks!

I like the 3DRT.com model conviniently placed right in front of the camera. Great show of level design.

Anyway, I am interested in entering this too but I don't own FPSC. Can I still enter?

Past level design in my sig > Website. A few samples:

The future is here, and I can't afford it.

@Megaton Cat:

Yeah, Max is a guy I hire every now and then for extra work. It was a screenshot I used before to show people how to import models and such. I will try and so do a better level design, such as yours later tonight.

I think you will need to own V1.0 since that is what the work will be all about.

@Zero #43:

Sorry buddy, I spend about 5k a year on models and it's against my policy to "send" models that I pay for to other people for nothing and I would be stealing from a friend if I sent you his files free. I hope you understand. Nothing against you.

You can find wonderful (and free) models at:

celblock... I politely request that you take your screenie down and resize it... doing so will give you a much more ideal portriat.

I also would like to look into this... My primary function in most of my games (half games, I never managed to complete one...) is as a scripter, where I bring in elements that are unknown as of yet...

mo offence cellbloc, but the mech is pretty much the only custome media in that pic...so i dont see whats so great about it...
