As a simple solution for water, I was going to replace to copy the acid decal and replace it with a water textrue (texture attached). Where all in the FPSC directories do i neeed to make changes? i first copied the acid decal folder in gamecore, and renamed it water. where does my new texture go, and in what other folder do i need to do stuff?

thanks!

1. Copy the acid fpe (files/entitybank/generic/decals/acid.fpe)
2. Rename it "water"
3. Paste this code into the FPE

You can change the transparency in the fpe, it will look good too.

The Attachment is my animated water decal that looks bad in game

Currently there is no way to do water, as there is no way to change the player's gravity/weight/etc.

You could do an offset script, that would mean that you move the player almost as quickly at they go down.

i know that water isnt possible, this is just for visual effect. im doing an oil rig level, and it looks strange for the pylons to come out of the air.

thanks, skalex, i forgot about the fpe.

edit: the fpe is the 'decalspec file in the copied folder, right?

second edit: ive done all this, but still a water decal doesnt show in the FPSC editor. i wonder why... is the picture file nect to the fpe where the texture goes? attached is the 'water' folder i have. skalex, could you check it for correctness?

for visual effect you can use the ripple shader
or a pre-animated mesh that waves up/down
