Hello!
Does anyone have a simple code of how to use an animated character. So if he is walking forward it plays a certain animation, and if he side steps it plays a different animation. There is something like this in the "room" example which came with darkbasic.

P.S. it would be nice if it had a smooth transition between animations(though this is probably being to picky)

Thanks

I can do smooth transitions:

I have a guy walking, it takes 7 frames:
stand, start left leg, down left leg, stand, start right leg, down right leg, stand

Then I make a new set for a battle stance I want:
battle stance, start left leg, down left leg, battle stance, start right leg, down right leg, battle stance

then I do this: (assuming upkey is your walk)

if upkey()=0 and object frame(object #)<2 then play object 7,9

and I do this with all 7 frames, this makes it so if you let go of walk, during the first frame, then he finsihes the step then gose to his battle stance. Hope you understand

As I walk through the vally of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
