Hi there.

Just wondering about the P-Array from 3dsmax.

Its easy to mess up objects with it inside max,
but is it posible to export every chunk as mesh.

Would use it for glassbrakes will do the animation in DB then.

Any Ideas?

i'd just use a particle array within DarkBasic myself - you can then scale its use per system

Yo, but thats not my problem.

I just need chunks from a mesh that look like what u get out of a model if u use P-Array with the pottery preset.

Just kinda lazy sometimes. Won`t do it manualy all the time.

And i don`t want that it looks like a triangle party.

B.T.W Raven. are you inside MAXScript??

I realy tried to figure out how to from the manual.
But can i somehow export every object in scene as independent object with it.

db doesn't as such have a particle array... perhaps i should've madeit more clear

an array for the particles from XYZ and to Rotation XYZ (or rather Vector3 )

if you want the model to literally blow outwards, the mesh memblocks is all you need, but i'd hate to update for larger than 100 polygon models.

MaxScript is a simple extention of C coding with some Max keyphrases thrown in - it isn't particularly hard, just isn't particularly friendly either.

if you wanna export independant objects then check the SDK, it has a small script on using the object lists to do just that, you send the export information to the exporter from the lists from everything named p* or whatever

Just started with maxscript since a week or so.
Its quite simple.
I figured out how to select and export objects within one day (Descreet put some very good manuals together).

Thats just what i was looking for -- object list --
now i`m happy again!
