Hey,
In the background to my RPG (Tutopia) I've been working on an FPS but I really need a map to get working on it properly. Can someone please just make a quick deathmatch map, it doesn't have to be all prettified for now. I'm not saying that you shouldn't make it pretty but...I'll shut up now!
Basically, use your imagination and just make a map suitable for a deathmatch slap some basic textures on it and send it to me. Once I get a demo done with it I will post it in WIP. I can assure you it will get done and will not go to waste.
Thanks in advance.

Like I said, it doesn't have to be great. I just need the geometry (with some textures so you can see properly) as I don't have a program which I can do it well with. I have DeleD and Quill3D but Quill3D is no good for what I'm looking for and DeleD levels don't respond to DB lights.

Even a link to a free one even if it is non-commercial. I only need it to get going.

Look in the DB program announcements, they have a lot of level editors in there, I haven't heard of other free level makers...unless if you can export the levels in the level maker on the Unreal Engine demo

I know, I can and have made my own but it is the geometry I need. Its all well and good being able to load and place objects but I can't make the objects in the first place! Oh well. If no one can help I'll have to make do with levels made of cubes!

hmmm, why don't you use a 3D modelling application too, like Wings, Blender or Anim8or, add the objects to a level editor and place them, thats the best way I can think of for free apps

I can't use Blender or Anim8or. Wings is great for modelling but the textures always have seams. If no one can help I'll just have to make a blocky map in Quill3D.

hmmmm........I'm still thinking, well, um, theres an old free version of trueSpace 3.2 lurking on the net, see what you are like with that.

Afraid, there are caches when trying to develop with as little money as you can

Got it. However, when used to export to .x all the textures are missing!

can be a problem, um, save the models in the same path as textures, and export the model, I find that with TS exports, textures don't always load with the model too

Thanks. I'll take a look.
I'm actually fairly happy with using Quill3D now so I guess I'm alright now.
[Edit]Nice map layout! If you don't mind, I'll retexture/use some ideas from it.[/Edit]

Hey...
if you want an easy but powerful world editor, why not try catography shop?

Stubbe is the name you should fear the most!
It may pierce into your mind. (very dangerous)

Damn it! Note to self: don't tell anyone else your deadlines. I'll try and get it done as soon as possible. I got a hell of a lot more physics homework than I expected!
