Okay, I posted a while about wanting to make a community-made Counter-Strike like game and releasing it for free. Well because of school I had to focus on my work for a while, but I should have some free time again now

I am just wondering how many people would be interested in this idea. I have the domain (FreeFPS.com), and I can design/host the site myself. I would need people to do the following jobs.

1. submit models
2. make maps
3. submit scripts
4. people to regularly host the game (10+ hours a day)

What these people get:
- credit
- work seen
- advertisement for any other projects
- a split in any profits made
- file hosting for their games

Not all games would be online, but that'd probably be the part with the main visitor interest.

Just reply if you:
a) have a comment
b) want to help
c) have a suggestion
d) would like to submit stuff occassionally

from you Dave, since you're no newbie! This may be true, it's just very rare to see this sort of remark from someone who's been here longer than me . The other offers are quite nice though, advertisement, hosting etc.

Like I said, though, I'll see what I can do (map-wise, most likely)

there will be sold and free versions. We'll work on the free version first, and then once we have a good array of models, textures etc we'll start working on the paid.

and btw, yes you can play the game while your hosting it

also, with the free file hosting, I don't want to be hosting tonnes of crappy games made in 5 minutes. games must be of decent quality (proven by screenshots)
