Hello everyone. I have decided to do 'Dizzy 3D' for the retro competition. I am still programming it but its come quite far. Here are some pictures:






These are quite early shots but I'll have a demo ready soon!

Dizzy is tiny compared to that star. Looks great so far. The distortion on the pics, is that from jpeg or is that actually in your game. I think it looks pretty cool, makes it actually seem like a retro remake. Keep up the good work.

If you want fresh underwear in the morning, take it off the night before.

why are you using GIF?... jpg and png both have far better compression - if you do use GIF you should setup the colour space to Median Cut 255 colours

I use GIF because...JPEG makes it look all crappy, still, i cant seem to see the difference other than space...
PNG is the better quality with lower space consumption, but IE and NS show the colours differently. And of course, the pictures are not showing for me (ONCE AGAIN!). I wonder what it is..

DIZZY I LOVE DIZZY. Got the entire PC collection on my hard drive, I started playing dizzy on "Fantastic Land Dizzy"
could neva complete "Magic Land Dizzy" tho, blag.

Ne wayz looks good, and actually very authentic, im proud, tell me when its done and i'll be bouncing off the walls.

Hmm, never heard of it.

Anyway, are you sure about JPEG making it look crappy? Those GIFs look like they were made on Windows 3.1

Wow, this brings back memories. I remember playing the Dizzy games on a Spectrum. Nice looking so far but I thought Dizzy had a big smile?

Heeheee Dizzy!! I had dizzy games on my speccy when I was a kid, loved that little guy, the games were just some of the best there were for that machine (they made so many too). Looks like you're doing him justice too petrat, I'm looking forward to playing your game, does it have the "puzzle" element to it?

petrat i know its near the end... but it may be worth going to anim8or.com and modelling ur char some hands using the tutorial. Although i suppose balls are ok... just a suggestion. Depends if he ever has to use them. Good idea tho. I was gonna do a dizzy adventure but then i figured that id go all out and not get it finished. Instead i did kwik snax, a game starring dizzy. Only mine doesnt star dizzy, instead eggdude Those shots are old now, u got any more recent ones? Cant leave us in suspense like this.
