Apologies if this has been asked before....

I want to create a trigger point which when pressed opens a distant door for a preset number of seconds, the idea being that the hero has to switch the trigger, run to the door only to find it shuts before he gets there.
The use of a heavy object pushed onto the trigger point keeps the door open.
Has anyone managed to do this and if so how?

closing the door with a timer is possible using the timer commands. but as for the object holding the door open, i dont beleive it is possible because the doors go in and out of collision mode.

As a start I would be happy just to know how to program a trigger point and a door so one operates the other, and then I want the door to close again after a preset time.
At least my hero could then run to the triggered door and get there just in time before it closes.
