Does milkshape convert model files into .x files that FPS Creator will take?

If it exports to .x, then FPSC can use it.

Yes, you can export files into the .x format with MilkShape. They are compatible with FPSC.

Not all direct x fromats work with FPSC creator. Animated models have to be saved in a binary compressed format, which milkshape does, but which others may not (like blender).

In milkshape the only Direct X Exporter that works in DarkBASIC Professional is the Direct X (JT) variant. Since FPSC is produced in DarkBASIC Professional I assume it's the same for FPSC.

I think that Milkshapes animator is maybe not the best solution for animated models - CharacterFX does a great job for DBPro so I imagine it'd do the same for FPSC.

For static models, often it's a good idea just to concentrate on getting .3DS models exported, as there's lots of .3DS to .X converters around.
