Is there a program that you can just type in text and the program will just make a voice using what you typed in?

This would be useful, if you were to use the sound zone.

Here's what you're looking for. Online. Limit 30 words. But, you can splice the output files together easily with another freeware audio tool called Audacity.

Unfortunately, you can only use the audio produced at that site for private purposes only.

Here's what a google search turned up:

http://www.spacejock.com/yRead.html

I downloaded it and it sounds alright, though nowhere near as good as the link SkyCubes gave you. If you do a goole search for free text to speech programs you are bound to find a ton, I did. I have some experience with Read Please, but don't know what the terms are on that one.

Here's a sample from the yReader program, in case you're interested.

You could always use the narrater that comes with Windows XP

Start | Programs |Accessories | Accessibility | Narrater
