Answered my own question Meshview appears to be the problem, everythings ok untill I use Meshview to create a binary compressed file then the model appears faceted. Is there another tool that can make binary compressed files?

mesh veiw is messing it up?

i would think it wouldent since it is made by microsoft (i think)...

you could use lithunwrap...thats what wheelgator and i use... its a UV unwrap program, but it can export to binary compressed...

or, if you want to spend money, you could buy deep exploration.

Thanks I did'nt realise Lithunwrap had a binary compressed option, its odd I use UUwrap3d and it does'nt have it.
After trying the binary compressed export it seems that it not only
destroys the smoothing but also the animation.
