what code would i have to use for a talk system in an rpg, i mean like if i go up to an NPC object and press enter a window appears with a few tabs on the side labeled like "character description, job" etc and i click on one of them and it displays a sentence of that subject. I tried using the center text command but it doesnt work for me can anyone help me?

First, use Photo Shop or Paint or something and make an image of it. Then, just print text in places.

But to trigger this, make this the code:

if object collision(PLAYER#,NPC#)
if returnkey()=1
*image and text code here*
endif
endif

Thats all I'm going to tell you.
BTW, you dont HAVE to use center text.

Hi there

I had this same problem a few years ago and so I came up with a little demo for conversation system.

You'll need to put the attached "converation.txt" file in the same location as the dba file. I just feel it's convenient to put all text in separate files rather than the same dba file.

you could make 3d model of head , and animate mouth and then when talking then animate model , something like that !
