Here is a question for you all...

Personally I think the next thing will be an elemental engine... splits models into a 1000 peices, holds them together with physics and a set of laws, and reacts in realilistic manners (if combustiable, burns and peices go away), (if concrete, breaks when hit with enough force), (smaller peices break off for general bullet holes).

Would also be great for water, loss interactions, but strong bonds.

What your talking about sounds similar to voxels.

I think there's a thread in the dbpro forum about this.

Never gonna happen.

Let's be realistic, vehicles, melee combat, and terrains are far more likely to be considered - either of those would make people happy, but the only one that would take a chunk of work would be vehicles, ODE physics does'nt really support the required features you see.

All I want is a load/save feature, working fog (rain & snow are cool also), vehicles and terrains in the next version. When I talk about the next version I don't refer to Riker9, but the next official FPSC version released by TGC.

But, I much much much rather have TGC fix all of the broken and missing features (like fog, save/load & story zone) then add more stuff to FPSC.

FPSC is way to cool, you can create even more then a fps with it!

Lol... I ment after physics...

Sure now adays Physics is the "Big Thing" but there has to be some creative mind who can think of something bigger.

Voxels... Funny how people think of names... But it looks like the general Idea, you would just need to assign each to an element (Like object programming, each element describes properties that remain the same). And have an engine running to tie them together and interaction... math to hell... algoritms to hell... and a whole lot more.

Chemistry would be great! Accidently mix the chemicals together and the computer explodes!
