Theres a render option in the tool-bar. With that and great materials (which I made myself) and you havea nice render.

To be honest it just likes something you could do with a few extrudes you just instead decided to add thousands of polys to what could've been only a few hundred.

Not exactly animee-blood. It may not be my most complicated thing ever, but it wasn't only a few extrudes, also you cant get the effect I was trying to achieve without numorous polygons, so

tbh, ill have to agree with animeblood, it doesnt looks particularly realistic, it even looks like a vacuum mould from some pics, then with what? a 10 iliteration meshsmooth...

maybe it would look better with a space/planetary scene but i would say it looks closer to the bat mobile than a spaceship

way too many polyies for that low detail...

I don't like the plastic look on the render, I think you can do much better with a little more work...

Yeah uh... Deadly Shadow I could make that with the same effects via rendering with only a few 100 polys.

i dont see why people take comments that arent 'wow amazing' so badly animes coments were fair, look at your wireframe can you honestley say thats not a total overuse of meshsmooth? as for the design i think it would be better if you looked at other ships like from scifi films/series to get ideas, yours seems like a simple design gone strange, most spaceships are fairly simple in shape but have cool guns dotted around them or big glowing engines and things, if i saw your ship in a startreck episode i would think wtf were they thinking...

:\ i thought it was a fancy pair of binoculars.

Its a nice model, but yes its way over "Polied" if you get what im saying... i do have to agree that witha nice texture it could look the same with a few hundred poly's. If your not ready to take criticism dont say "please tell me what you think" because we will :\

Same here.
I don't know much about modelling, but even I realise when there are polys that just aren't needed.

I'm sure if you explained these reasons it might all become a little clearer.

what effects theres no effects that i can see that require polys.

maybe a closeup shot could reveal the "Details" but everyone is right. an ok model just need work. Its to simple to be the center of a scene. You gotta add something planets, stars, etc.
