I open Lithunwrap. I import my .3DS Model. I choose Tools>Uv Map>Planar. I export the UV Map as .bmp. I Import the .3DS Model I put a UV map on into Milkshape. I load the material of the UV map into both spots when I create a material. I apply the UV map to the model, it just turns black...

What did I do wrong?????

You say you export your uvmap to .bmp, but do you also export the changed model?

No, I didn't export the changed model from Lithunwrap, might that be the problem?

yes, after you've applied the texture mapping, you have to export the bmp AND save the model (As it will contain the new UV coordinates)
