on DB programming language user manual i am stuck on the part that says
:step 5 : The Main Loop

Almost all large programs have a mane loop. It can be pictured as an egine, with all it's cogs and grears revolving continually. It is often the first thing you will think about when writing your programs.

Bring the above steps together and lessends learning from our first tutorial, write the following program:

Input "enter word>";a$
Do
CLS
Set CURSOR RND(640), RND(480)
PRINT A$
lOOP

THAT IS ALL I DNT GET IT IT IS HELLA HARD CAN U HELP ME LIKE TO MAKE MY FIRST GAME OR PROGRAM OR MAKE A CIRCLE OR A PIXLE I REALLY NEED HELP THAT IS ALL I HAVE BEEN DOING I HAVE BEED DOING DB FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND I AM ALREADY STUCK BUT IT IS HELLA FUN I LOVE TO CREATE PROGRAMS AND THAT IS ALL I WANT TO DO TO CREATE PROGRAMS IN MY LIFE. PLZ HELP ME PLZ I REALLY NEED IT I WOULD APPREACIATE IT IF U WOULD HELP ME WHAT EVER U CAN.

At the bottom of my post is a link to my web site where you will find lots of stuff for beginners - including tutorials that explain everything you need to know to get started.

Please don't yell at me. It makes me feel bad inside.

If you have never programmed before you may want to pick up a book to supplement the manual and online tutorials. There's the cool official DB one advertised on this site.

Hello, are you looking to become a 2d or 3d programmer?

If you would like to get started with 2d programming this is a great pong game that you can study and learn from

2d Pong Game

As far as 3d goes I am not sure of any programs that would act as a good learning tool, because I myself have not even touched 3d.

Oh also not to be mean but more of a tip, people around here look down on others (especially newcomers) who use bad grammar. So take a little more time to type out your request and questions.

*This cant work a second time can it ?*

The best advice I can give is pick up this book:

Beginning Programming for Dummies 2nd Edition

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764508350/o/qid=985179581/sr=2-3/107-1611908-6624550

This book concentrates on BASIC which is what DB is derived from. Perhaps after reading this book, the tutorials in DB will make much more sense to you.

Here's a tip, I started off learning the simplest of things first, like how to make a background, how to put in a matrix. Move the camera using the Arrow Keys.

{Edit} You can simply teach yourself by starting to make a small game like pong / breakout / pac-man. The game can be 2d or 3d it's up to you. If you get stuck and have no clue how to progress at a particular part, you can always ask for help.

One thing i do advise in is don't give up, if you stick at it for long enough you will be wondering why you thought it was soo difficult to get. You'll find people here at TGC are "Generally" friendly and willing to help providing you ask the right questions.

programming 2d games is the same as programming 3d games, the only difference is your using 1 more axis for deph.

Just because their IPs match, it doesn't mean they are the same person.

What!!!! Nanobrain is not like that! Why would he be asking how to use Dark Basic if he is one of the people who helps newbies in the Newbie forum?
I can't believe it...

True, but if he/she was related to him, than wouldn't Nanobrain help him/her? (if there are different people...)

maybe it was a cyber alien pirate who kidnapped nanobrain and gave him food, he exploded due to too much in his belly and the 17 pieces fell down to earth and landed on each location on earth. but what no body knows is that they got an electric impulse and a rechargdeable battery in their brain so wherever they go the will send signals. and the signals come in the value of that ip adress. yes... yes.. that must be it

complex.. in its detailed explanation:
To be made up of connected or blended parts.

i still dont get it why have i a comlex? aka: why am i made up of connected or blended parts ? isn't that normal?

Perhaps Nanobrain has a relative or friend that is posting. My brother has an account on here (not that he uses it much), he has posted rather stupid things in the past, but we aren't the same person I assure you.
