I've just recently gotten into game programming and 3d modeling.

I'm using milkshape and have just successfully gotten my first model created, and have put in a skeleton. I've been playing around with the animations tonite. I've yet to get into skinning, but I've gotten a couple good tutorials, so you can expect to see a skinned version of the model I'm working on sometime soon.

I've recently found out that my son's favorite show Megas XLR has been cancelled. And as there aren't any decent games for this show, I'm building one myself. Below is the model I've made thus far. It's taken a lot of trial and error a lot of reading, and a lot of patience, but I'm starting to see some progress. I hope to create a fighting game, with Megas versus some of his more memorable foes. I'm not going to be charging money for it, I'm just doing it for my kid. Any feedback would be welcome. Again, as I've said, this is my first model. Other than an airplane I made while following the Milkshape tutorial.

Very nice model there!
But rather than posting extremely large .BMP's, convert the images to JPG, and upload them to a site like http://www.photobucket.com. Then you can post the image like this:

Remove the spaces.

I will be looking forward to the final game

Thanx for the tip, I'll do that in the future. I was trying to use the renderer inside Milkshape, in the export menu, but I couldn't find a way to output a pic, it just generates a HTML page. I suppose I could take a screenshot and crop out the pic.

Y'know, I read the whole thing about noob probation and whatnot... and I'm not complaining mind you, I understand. BUT I think it would be nice if I could at least preview my posts to see if I typed in the HTML tags, etc etc. I put in these pics today, and had no idea how they would come out until late tonite. Just a bit aggravating. Previews would be noob friendly without it being open season for spammers.

But I digress.
