I haven´t found anything either. VanB has a system in the works though. Could take a while though. I hear he´s been working on VanMesh since before Lee was even born.

Someone made a game "DarkFighter" I don't know if he released the source. Search the Project Announcements forum.

The harest thing about a fighter, is doing all the graphics. The actual programming is pretty chumpish. It's just a bunch of conditional if statements in the main loop.

I mean, if you can make 2 squares move across the screen via keyboard or joystick input...then you've got the early stages of a fighter. Nothing terribly sophisticated there. Even capturing the sequence of input for special moves is simple. Triggered events.

Not that any of this isn't time consuming, but it's not complicated by any stretch of the imagination. It's going to come down to, do you have the patience it takes to program a fighter.

Oh, infact it was MiR that did it. LOL

Ah...Good ole search.

You should work on a revision MiR. Maybe render your characters. Was it your brother that drew those in MS Paint? Pretty impressive that he did all those images in MS Paint. I hate MS Paint. Actually, hate isn't a strong enough word.

I did release the source code.
Dextro:You might want to give it a look.

I´m working on Dark Fighter 2 right now. I have been for some time on and off. I´m begining my 3rd or 4th rewrite...That´s the problem when you spend so much time on a game. You look at the code you first wrote and go. "I can´t have that, it uses globals/gotos/a single file/non OOP!"

Yeah. He´s very good with paint. It´s not that bad a program. It does what it says on the tin.

www.pom.tv sells animation DVDs of all the fighting moves, which you can copy for your own characters.

Where can I download the source code for your game, Mir?
I'll have no trouble making the graphics, since im using pics of "actors" (most of them ballet dancers) with a purple background lighted with white light; as of now, my idle animation (consisting of 10 frames/pics) draws smooth and without "borders" in DarkBasic Pro.

I wrote a version of StreetFighter 2 in Turbo Pascal about 7/8 years ago.

The source would be easily portable to DarkBasic I would say.

Do you want it?
