Yo
i am programming a game (frogger), with a freind, and would like to show him where i am at in the form of a stand alone executeable. however, as we live qiet far away from each other, it would be much more conveneint to show him on the school's computers. Unfortuanetly the computers there don't have any direct x. is there any way of executing a stand alone executeable without the need for direct x. my game has no 3d files attached, and uses only bitmap images. thank you for any help or advise you could give me.

the darthman

ps: i am using db classic

I like playing games and i'm addicted but i suppose its better than fagssssssssssssssssssssss.!! boogy

unless your school computers are running Linux they have DirectX, but it`s not 9.0c most likley, just say in passing to whoever runs the school PC`s "do they have DX 9.0c for the new ports security patch against pornhacker6.1 " most school admins are dumb, he will start to worry and probably install dx9.0c just in case, so then you are both happy, he averted disaster and you got dx9.0c , failing that, why not burn the game folder and media to a cd?, the other problem you might have is that you can`t run external exe files on the school PC`s, that might stop you.

if there is one thing I can NOT tolerate, it`s intolerant people.

i don`t think there is a way to make it without direct x , unless you hack the compiler to work different (but i don`t suggest that)
. and yes , every windows has a direct x , so the only problem is if you have windows 98 , he might have to old direct x

you only live once , but you die twice
