You don't need a credit card to *sell* something. I would sign-up an account with PayPal (www.paypal.com) which your Mum might need to do, and use their free web site shop tools to make your own site with the game available to buy on. It need not be any more complex than that.

Trembled, Quake, that would appear to be as close as it gets, if you ad graphics have anything to do with the graphics in your game, you would be better off letting people here test your game, and give you feed back, so you can develop your skills.
Good luck with future projects.

Well, also, you don't rate it. ESRB does, so take the "Rated T" out, and replace it with.....results from ESRB.

Well done,

I think your ad looks great. It's true art.
There is no wrong in true art, because it's all good depending on the perspective.
Its also nice to see someone your age thinking of creating and selling, instead of buying.

Yeah,
If you do like Richard said
Quote: "I would sign-up an account with PayPal (www.paypal.com) which your Mum might need to do, and use their free web site shop tools to make your own site with the game available to buy on. "

Have you Mum look into the BUY NOW Buttons.
You can have them directed to your "Thank You" page after they purchase.
The "Thank You" page can have the download or download instructions.
That's the simplest way if she knows HTML.

If not, then HTML is easy to learn.
It's still simple. You can do it.

Fare thee well.

Post Script
They are right about the Rating... lose it.
WARNINGS: are always good though, for you Blood and Violence.
You don't need permission to print a warning, and the only costs are the paper and ink.

Quote: "I'm hoping the new ad will be way better , still it wont have graphics form the game"

Rueben, you can hit the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard when you are in a Test Game.
Then, when you exit the Test Game, open up Paint and do a Edit>Paste.
Now you should see that screen shot of your game.

Selling is good, as long as you can afford it, also you can't exactally sell for free. Rich may allow you to advartise here, but you need to give a little more then a poster, screenshots would be nice. Also, don't expect that many hits if this is your first. We are an 1337 group. And we know what FPSC can do.

Hey Reuben!
I for one thought that the add looked good, it's better then I could do!

Quote: "The "Thank You" page can have the download or download instructions.

If not then just give me an email (chickenboss100@yahoo.com) and I'll see what I can do to help, I know the basics of HTML, but thats really all that HTML is

I'm glad to see a nine year old selling a game! Thats incredible!
I wish you luck with your game! You might want to check out www.garagegames.com. They allow you to sell games under their name. Might be somthing your looking for, might not.
-Sunflash

P.S. By any chance will you be coming out with a demo of your game? and will we be seeing you around the forums?

Wheel Gator is great with 2D stuff, you could possibly get him to whip an ad up for you (but you didn't here it from me, if he gets mad, then it definetely wasn't my idea )

Or I could get something together; wouldn't be as good as Gator's, but I've got Photoshop ! If you want me to do anything, just tell me what you want on it.

EDIT: Here's something I literally threw up () in 2 minutes. I used your face thingy, which (no offense) may make it look slightly less professional. I've got the .psd, so if you want me to edit it (or make a new one suited to what you need), just tell me.

Hey Jiffy, what font did you use for that "Tremble" line?! Would you be able to give me a copy? Or do you have to buy Photoshop?

That doesn't look like a font, it's looks like he took a given font and strtched it around a bit, etc. I don't know for sure though.

Same here^ I would find a game website where you could get them to sell it. Getting the word that you have a game is REALLY hard. And it wouldn't be a good idea to sell it here. There are people here that know how to make games from scratch. And I mean REALLY good games. Also, don't tell anyone your age, somtimes that can turn people off, if they here that they're playing a game made by a nine year old, they might get a little embarrased. And never say "I" instead say "we". It makes it sound more like an organization, not just one person making games.

GG is on the right track... You can be like Derek Smart(the brains behind Battlecruiser 3KAD) and say you took 7 years to make your game.. you could then release a pile of rubbish and people will still buy it

Hey everybody, im new, i dont have the fps creater yet, i am getting it for christmas. I have been reading your posts and i noticed, dont you have to patent( so noone takes your game idea and sells themselves and make money) if you patent it, noone can take your idea, but hey, i may be wrong, i dont have this fps reater yet.

I am new!!!!

@Bullshock (from a few posts ago) - Yeah, Wheely was banned, but the old ban was supposed to end on the 17th.

@Sunflash - 'Course I can give you a copy. It's called 'Zombie Holocaust', and I got it from http://1001fonts.com. I've included the readme from the creator in the .zip attached with the .ttf file. It doesn't include any numerics or punctuation, though .

@Reuben - Of course you can, it's why I made it! If you want any changes or a new one that relates more to the story, feel free to ask. I'd like to see some screenshots .

don't listen to me.. i was just joking. Most important thing is just to make the game good, plain and simple. If it takes you alittle longer than expected then just keep working at it until you feel that the product is complete and polished. Release a demo and let your game sell it self.

So in short, what i'm saying is don't rush your game out so that you could start making money off of it. First, make sure you have something that people will want to buy. If it's good, maybe the same people will want to buy the next one

Good luck!

@Jiffy and Sunflash: Don't forget to look through the attached license/readme-document. None of you wants to get sued for using a font without permission, I assume?

As for the ad, it looks, well... I'll avoid being too honest, so I'll say it's not so good. I might try making a paintover myself, if I'm in photoshopping-mood today.

One thing to look forward to:
The day FPSC v 1 is released

@Roger - I checked the license before posting. It said that it can be used for commericial/non-commercial purposes, and distribution is fine as long as it includes the readme (which I did in the .zip), I'm a good boy .

Oh, and I don't know whether you were talking about my redo or his original ad, but I made the redo in two minutes .
