They have a few posts like this over at the Blender boards, and its a good idea to keep good images trickling into the general view.

The idea is simple - Show us your BEST renders so far, and even throw in your second best renders Just put up stuff here for the 3d community to see. Its a perfect place to get props and help, and if its updated regularly, it is always good to check out!

So post minions of DBevil!

I'll start us off with some renders I have here on this PC. Sadly, my best were formatted about 6 months ago

Regards
Zac

And another! This definitly falls into the second best category. It was all I could see in front of me at the time. This image is over a year old too

nah its great!

@ Ben- Good work mate! All you need to do is keep practicing and render render render!

I like your render though. Maybe if you put the camera closer to the object so we could see the detail more, it would be nice

edit - didnt see your newest ones! you are a very good modeller!

Oh yes, and in that fateful day when the houses of the damned(other software users) burn, we shall stand and say - 'wow, i wonder if i could render that internally?'

Lol, all meant in jest, other users arent damned...mwahahahaha

edit - lol, okay that was a topic diversion. Lets keep it to posting the images, and commenting. My bad.

I have few renders I am proud of that have been done since I was a newb.

My most recent, you will notice it is part of the program I am making in C#, so ignore the qui, I didn't model the castle, Eedam did, this was made as a render test for FMV's in ronin.

My animation wip, the render isn't that good, but I am proud of the model

This next one is 100% by me, even textures and bumps maps
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/texturescreenie.jpg
The main menu for ronin I am proud of too
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/roninfrontcopy.jpg
I am also proud of this Sephiroth model
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/sephsolid.jpg
This is a ship I did for Gil Givanti, but kinda exported wrong for him, but I will sort that out for him eventually

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/finship.jpg
And early works in the Truespace 5 demo
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/bday3.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/alcoholicsdelightfieldofview.bmp
And one of my first Cinema 4D images
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/Seppukulogofire.jpg
Earlier works are lost.

Just messing around with Terragen, then lost a similar render, took me forever to mimic it. Was for a speech project.

Some great stuff here!

@BigAdd - I love that room image. It doesnt look like it would have been too hard to model, but the way youve rendered it is perfect. Really works.

@RpgGAmer - Thats for ED isnt it? i remember when you started that and im really happy to see that its moving along really well. Gone from a average matrix with house routine to something really top class! Great effort!

due to a crash, i've lost the original file for this image. So this is the only render and size of it. I haven't been able to get the water to look as nice since.

personally, one of my favorites i've done. I did some changes to the basketball hoop, but dont have a render on hand at the moment.

I was still learning my way around 3d max materials at the time, so i think my chrome on this is a bit off

just plain bored one day.

Ive been around db since the grey forums, but havent really said much. I think now ive got enough experience to contribute something!

Theres so many negative vibes flying round here its not cool anymore. Weve lost the we-love-db-and-were-excited feeling. Now its all about n00b bashing and netiquette. I think its about time we all start making a conscious effort to make things a little happier

We were all noobs once.

Alas, i digress.

Edit - @Phealax(sp) - I like the goblet one a fair bit. Youve modelled the figurehead chicks really well, and the bump mapping reminds me of half-life 2 for no reason in particular. In the basketball hoop one, did you do any post pro? The water looks good in the top one.

What software did you use?

Zac

I don't know if it's considered as "Render" but it's my entry for that CG Challenge... Believe me...

All projects have been cancelled due to some important matters (darn it!) but "The mask of Zorah" is still continued...

Impressive Mach, I was gonna enter the spectacular challenge with my scene where the woman kills the man and his ghost's hand in on her shoulder teller her he forgives her, but doubt I'll get the time, plus my renderer doest seem to give the nice impressive look so well, even with soft lights
