@Evil stick

sorry, not ignoring you. To quote my original post:-
Quote: "PS: If you feel that you may be able to contribute something to this book
then please contact me directly on fpscbook@musicgenius.co.uk and I will
be more than happy to discuss it with you. I do not wish to discuss
contributions publically in this thread."

Hope this answers your question

@KeithC

Bit early days to talk about price yet. My intention is for it to
be a proper hardcopy book. Although I have thought about an ebook
release of the earlier basic chapters (some time before the release
of the main book), I haven't really considered an online release
of the whole book due to the security issues. A PDF format would
be too easy to be copied and re-distributed.

Best Regards

Jason

The only way to truely cover everything would be to talk to CellBlox as he has gone though the source the most, he certainly can tell you more then any of us amatures.

Jason,

Just wanted to say that we all (or most of us) would appreciate your effort in creating a book/document that would help the novice user get started. As to the content or chapters needed, I think just building a game from scratch - from beginning to end - would help a lot. Including creating, inserting, and implementing content.

The content part is difficult because we all use a very diverse set of art pipline products, but if someone new to the arena could sit down with your book and some basic content creation software and build a basic game, that would help users a great deal. As you said earlier, the devil is in the details.

Give them details, and you'll have a winner. Looking forward to it...
