Yea I started making a 2d shooting game but need help on getting started. Tutorials would help but if not, heres what I need help on:

1.Loading stages and making them scroll as you go on.
2.Loading sprites and making them move.
3.Adding different layers to stages for like destroyables etc.
4.Life/ammo hud
5.Enemy A.I.

Also can you add 3d particles to 2d games like smoke, fire, etc.?

Thanks for anyone who helps

Don't use the particles in DBP for that. DBP particles are kinda crappy. Make your own system for that with animated/alpha sprites.

You mentioned that you started your game... But you asked for help starting... Which begs to question, what exactly have you started other than a thought process?

You've prettymuch outlined that you need tutorials for an entire game.

Use the search option, everything you've asked for has been posted in the forums or in the codebase.

Suggestion: Make a pong game first. I'm serious. Draw a graphic for the ball and the paddle. Make the ball spin when you hit it. Make the paddle animate when he hits the ball. Create a scoreboard. Create a computer opponent.

Once you've accomplished these simple things, you'll have enough knowledge to "start" your game.

Like I said, everything you've asked for has been posted in the forums.
