Before i buy Darkmatter, ild like to find out about the models.

what animations do the human have? i read walking, dying, ect.

what about crawling, kneeling, aiming weopen in each posistion?

i NEED kneeling and crawling, not just walking.

if it has these ill buy it.

not like i can add animtions. that stuff is hard.

thank you for your time.

I have DarkMatter 1 and I must say that the
animations suck, they seems very unrealistic, but the textures
are nice. IMO you should try to look for a different pack.

They are correct, they are good place holders though, unless they fill the needed positions, then I would find another solution

Learn to animate...lol.

Well, you see, not learning something because it is hard is not good reason. If you put in the time and effort you can do animations yourself with whatever program you'd like to use. And if your modeling program doesnt have a good(or any)animation feature, then get another program that has animation you are more comfortable with, and export your models to an acceptable format for that program. If people didn't do stuff because it was hard, we wouldn't have many of the luxuries that we do have, so I think that animation being too hard is a pitiful excuse.

Well, animations is more art. not realy something people can just learn. sure i can make a guy look like he is walking, and i garetee nobody will accept it. things like ilde standing movement, is just an art i cuold never understand. one thing you look at a vedio of a guy walking and try to mimic it. another to mimic ilde char and simple ogantic fluidness.

i have many time animated obects, mostly with aircraft. landing gear, flaps, ect. so the science part is not the problem. but to get a Cat to gracefully leeep across a terrain, is completely art.

once i tryed to animate a guy swinging a srowd, the outcome was openly agreed it looked like he was trying to throw it.

prehaps i cuold use teh char shop, and add a few of my own animations for the ones lacking.

BTW i own milkshape. i do not like the huge proffesional programs.

or you could record yourself/someone else doing whatever poses then try and emulate them on your model, or you could get mocap and realise your job as an animator is useless then burn it.

Motion Capture - ie stick lil sensors over somebody's body, let them do whatever you want your character to do and the movement of the sensors is reproduced on your models. Its a good (but expensive) way to animate as it saves a lot of work, but you still need a good degree of skill to make the movememts loop correctly for games. Accode (moster) has a good selection of mocap anaimationd for sale as well as a good plug-in which lets dark basic pro users combine animations smoothly (ie go from standing to walking to jumping or whatever)

I doubt you could afford mocap, you'd be better off hiring a 3d animator doing the animations for you twould be a lot cheaper
