FPSC Classic Scripts / script that creats a txt file

Hi I was wondering if a script could be used to creat a txt file on the hard disk, so that another program can read it. This would be useful if you wished load up that last map that you played using a program to charge the setup.ini file and load the map. It would a bit like a save option, but you would still need to complete that level before it was saved for the next map.

I think there's no disk write access in FPSC (someone correct me if I'm wrong please) and therefor that idea and the save/load problem won't be possible.

I'm pretty sure I know everything. Doubts are something rare in me and I am never wrong, as this signature can prove.

The FPSC engine does indeed write files, it's how it build several things it needs. The lack of a Save/load game feature is more likely due to running out of time. If you think about it, there are many many things that would have to get saved/restored.

But! As Sulvanna suggests, you could create a simple save/restore for the player's properties and map level/location. This would have to get done in the DBPro code, but is quite doable.

Sure mate, we agree, but my understanding is that Sulvanna wants to script it in-game, not in code, thus my answer.
