DarkBasic seems very nice. I downloaded the DB demo and tried it on my laptop that has a 16MB GeForce2Go graphics chip... runs great. I tried out the included "room" demo program and it runs like a charm. I also tried the "room" demo on my desktop system with a 64MB Radeon 8500... runs even better, looks even nicer. However, on the 8500 system, the collision between the scorpion and the ball doesn't seem to work - the scorpion just walks right through the ball without causing it to bounce around. The only other problem I see is when I stand the scorpion on the spinning pad, the scorpion starts to spin counter-clockwise - this doesn't seem to happen on the laptop.

Has anyone seen this problem? I'm considering buying DB but I need something that is going to work consistently on my handful of machines...

Here's detail about the two systems:

Laptop: P3 850, GF2Go 16MB, 384MB RAM, WinME
Desktop: AMD 900, Radeon8500 64MB AGP, 256MB DDR RAM, Win98SE

Thanks!

BTW... I'm using the latest Radeon drivers - Catalyst 3.1.
