you never get what you really want from these "free hosting" and "free web space" sites... sure there are some advantages... like somewhat free... but you lose all the versatility. like setting up your own mysql databases or running the latest php scripts, how bout this disadvantage: you won't be the registrant "owner". This means when your site starts driving traffic and becomes popular ... BAM! they sell the name right out from under you... if you want free do a search on google for "free domain hosting"

its free and gives you a sub domain or a real one i cant remember but it has 2 requirements to get it. make 5 qualifying posts on forums and no pornography.

Hi im new to fps still figuring out how to import blender models into fps...but i do host my own sites for free..yeah i had to pay for my www.names and i did pay $$$ for the server software but i didnt have to ,i was greedy and wanted to host unlimited sites..as i have a dynamic ip address i went to no-ip.com and registered a free sub-domain name with them. the company thats parked my www name redirect to no-ip then they point directly to my pc which is my server..so it a nut shell if you want free hosting....do it yourself ;O)

free hosting after 5 posts, and you need to post at least once a week on their forums to keep the account. A small task to do for 600mb web space with php hosting, 100 mysql databases, and much more.

**EDIT**

You cant get a free .com name, you need to pay for them. You will never find a free domain name, ever.
