Opera 7 is a browser. I think it's put out by a Norweigian company. It is a browser that is suspected of becoming a leader over Netscape. I find that really unlikely though. Netscape 7 has many more feature, has a more reputable name, the full version is free (Opera costs something). IE will always be the top browser since it has simplicity (which neihter opera nor netscape have) comes with Windows, has support for the latest scripting, and everyone has it. I've heard, however, that Opera hasn't kept up with the newer XML/DHTML and CGI routines that are out there.

In my opinion, if you want simplicity, get IE 6. If you want feature, get Netscape 7.

Correction, Opera 7 can be downloaded as the full version but it has an add bar like in KaZaA. The ad-free browser is $39.

I prefer netscape since it come with AIM and has a very nice mail client (which makes up for Juno not having any). The only thing I don't like is it takes about 25 seconds to load up. I can't wait that long. Arg, I'm inpatient.

The current Netscape browser is way to flaky to be used properly. Plus its not very user-friendly, looks awful and just isn't worth having around.

What exactly do you mean by "current"(which version)? And 7 is very user friendly and has the best GUI of all the browsers and it is not flaky at all. I prefere mozilla!

Well, thats my opinion.

PS It is virtually the same a Netscape, but you can d/l the sourse code. Which is not much help as it is far too complicatd!

The Outside is a evil place to be, too much light, too much noise and too many distractions....
I went outside once and my FPS rate dropped to 5.

Wow nostril - you have the smallest desktop size I've sen for a long time I shudder if I have to work in 800x600.

lol Rich My monitor broke down a while back, and now I'm running on a 10 year old 14 inch one with max res 800x600. And people wonder why I get headaches so much

I had Netscape 7 for a very short while. Totally disliked it, so it soon went. The only time I enjoyed using it was on Linux and Sun SPARC stations.

I always have my res at 1027x768. I just lowered it so people with 56K connection didn't have to spend all day just to see a dumb picture.

The 165secs was actually correct. If you notice I have two IE windows running. One is downloading MediaPlayer 9 and the other is downloading the other is downloading the many Win XP upgrades. I swear they always have upgrades. I spend about an hour downloading them one day just so that annoying status-bar icon wasn't there, then the next day there was another 200megs in upgrades. Anyway, one of the Netscape windows is downloading and upgrade for Netscape. As you can see, I was using up a considerable amount of bandwith, especially considering I'm using a 56k.

hint: Next time just resize your window and hit Alt+Printscreen (copies only active window), saves you the trouble of changing resolution.
