DLL Talk / Will Dev-C++ work?

Hello,
I have Dev-C++, and it does have a DLL function, but i wanted to know if it could make
DBP compatible DLL's before i start one.

I think it can - however, the fun part will be trying to add string resources, as, unlike VS, you need a seperate resource editor.

Yes you can.

It's a little more involved to get the core pointer, and resources are harder to add, but yes. You don't need a resource editor BTW, you can add the raw resource strings using Dev-C++ - it's not difficult to get right.

I just happen to make a thread explaining how to get devc++ (and microsoft visual c++)strings(including the core ptr) working

it has the very handy function of dbpstring also

but why not use microsoft visual c++ express, its totally free and comes with an ide
