I find the worst thing about it is when people post entirely in bold script.

Maybe something that should be fixed for v2....

My advice is not to go into someone else's forum and ask their fans to bash their product.
You are just asking for trouble.

A friendly way to say the same thing would have been...
"what do you wish that this had for Version 2. I'm wondering whether to buy now or wait."

But it's your question, so suit yourself.
I'm just offering friendly advice.

In response to your request:
I have no complaints about FPSC.
I can only say good things about.
I am completely satisfied with it.

Even though some may have a ligitimate gripe or two, we are all happy overall.
If we weren't, then would we be here in the forums?
The few things it lacks (head shots - save/load) are certain to be in future versions of the engine.
The save/load was intended for V1 but never finished so V1 could be released sooner.
V1 has only been out less than 90 days, and most of us are still working on our first game release.
Not that it takes that long to make one ( I made a game the first day that I received FPSC).
It's just that with the power that it allows you through the scripting and media importing, it has us all in deep stages of our creativity where each idea spawns new ideas before we finish the first one.

Just buy it. You won't regret it.
And that will give you time to learn the scripting etc before V2 comes out.

One day you'll look back at your self and say "Man... I'm a GEEK"
Wait a second... *Man... I'm a GEEK* lol.

Now FPSC is a weak engine, many people believe that it was made souly for DBP Users. But it is cheap, and you can built level maps rather quickly. Also... only FPSC has Aiko!

Now, you have trouble uploading custom media, but there are plenty of people here to help, and we also have a couple hundred comunitity models (Including the Famous ChristMas Gernade).

FPSC also has massive slowdowns, this is due to the Scripts and bad poly rendering, yet people who have DBP are making upgrades to FPSC to fix these things.

On top of that, you will eventually spend another 60 dollars on DBP if you ever want to do anything with FPSC, but that isn't a big burdan.

The age-old snags:

Allies
Terrain (outside landscape)
AI

None of these can be handled very well in FPSC but to be honest, for £30, you can't go wrong

It's got it's bugs as listed here, as well as a few others. I don't share Conjured Entertainment's enthusiasim about the present state of FPSC, but I do share his optimisim about it's future.

For $50, I don't believe you'll see the equivilant anywhere else. Even though we use Torque, this is an excellent product to 'mock-up' our game levels very quickly. As such it is a great tool.

Man, everybody likes that christmas grenade...I may just release it before the holidays for free, with a slight alteration (since it actually has all the relevant files).
