if you add custom media or new source code in your game and sell it on this forum most of the folk would use your media. And the game Sos urban shadow demo . It was posssile to use the script and media in your game. Even fps pack isn't save. and i find it an mistake from the tgc not to have Protecting in your game . ex. some one buy's a model pack and relase a demo of that game folk could get that model pack for free. And does any one know a extra protection soft ware how works with fps pack.

Your post messed my brain a little bit. I really don't understand what you mean, but it seems you want to protect media. Everyone wants, but the best you have right now is FPSPack. I can't think of other software to interact with FPSPack in order to give further protection.

What you find to be a mistake is one of the many glitches of FPSC, like save/load, framerates, etc. All those issues are more of less of a problem to those who are developing, but there are ways of getting around it, or at least try to offer a bigger protection.

By the way, there's no ultimate protection to any data in the world, except turning off the computer and removing all cables. Safe data is something that does not exist, so in this case FPSPack is certainly a must.

I'm pretty sure I know everything. Doubts are something rare in me and I am never wrong, as this signature can prove.

Riker 9 has it planed to read data directly from the zips...
That is much safer then any other format.

There's nothing to stop people taking doom 3 models at the moment, either.

I know some people feel strongly about this, but I think the best defence against this sort of theft is community backlash.

If people know it's yours, you'd have to be a bit dumb to rip it.

You'll never stop people from stealing media as long as there is an internet to transfer it.
No solution will offer 100% protection, because any program can be hacked.
FPSCPack is your best bet to make it harder for them to do it.
For the few people that get around it and steal your media, then yes sue them.
Until then, its free advertising.
We know a ripped model when we see one, and we know who the real author is.
Maybe that's why Doom3 is that way, hmmm

I'm thinking of not packing some of my games to intentionally make the scripts open source.
It might boost your sales, and then you don't have to worry about them stealing it.

Its simple really, hard code your media in your own format into the game.
