Greeting fellow fps people, i modeled a robo kind of thing for one of my games. I tried to texture it, but when i tested, it just turned out invisible! i could only see a shadow that was attacking me! Why does this happen, or could i fix it? -OR- if anyone would have the kind soul to texter it for me, that alwayes works to, i guess i have to put up the model... btw, its really bad model cause i just started to model................. dont laugh

i had the same problem, you will need to uv map your model then save is with the uv coordanants in place in the .X file. then paint your texture and all is cool. If an object/model is not give correct uv coordinants it will appear invisable in test or full game view but not in preview mode.

if you want help with uv mapping just ask, it takes a lot of time but hay!!

UV Mapping is difficult at first; they are like coordinates that comprise the makeup of your model. The UV map is like the skin that goes on a person, and teh texture would be their clothes. Depending on how complex your model is, or more importantly how detailed you want the texture to be; this can be a time consuming part of the art pipeline.
