Although 3Impact works for IBasic, Blitz, Delphi and a few others, as a DLL, apparently the DBPro string table isnt supported and therefore we cant use this great 3D DLL with DBPro. However, after a few discussions with the developer of 3IMpact, he has stated that perhaps one of us could write the string table for DBPro. He has no working knowledge of DBPro and therefore cannot do it himself.
So! If anyone has a working knowledge of making string tables for DBPro DLL's perhaps you could have a look at making one so that we can use 3Impact.
If you havent seen 3Impact in action please take a run to their website www.3impact.com. 3Impact incorporates shaders, collision and physics in a relatively easy to use programming package. 3Impact seems to have evolved from 3DRad.

Anyhow if anyone is interested let me know and I can get you in contact with the author for more information.

note: it is possible that dbpro cannot pass the data types that 3impact requires, but I cant determine that, im not knowledgeable enough and dont have access to VC++.

Thats what I said hehe,..but apprently it is the descriptive header that defines all the routines in the DLL and what is required datatype-wise for each routine. There is a description on this site of how to setup the string table.

Send the guy the html file included with dbpro that tells you how to make TPC dll's. That will tell him everything he needs to know.

I am pretty sure that a string table generator was created in the program announcements forum. If I am not mistaken I am pretty sure that the_winch made the program.
