Looks sweet! The legs I think are too skinny, unless thats the look your going for. Also he has quite a lot of triangles, and unless this is for a game, you need to have as few as possible. Quads look much better in renders and the triangles will mess up smoothing and animation.

Im sick of Master Chief soo...ooga booga!!

I think (think!) theres a difference between triangles and polies, its something like the polies is approximately equal to the triangles divided by 3, or is it multiplied...

Either way, it looks awesome great job.

Ruccus there is a difference but as a general rule if your making a model for a game you count in tris sense the model will be converted to tris anyways.

God modelled man in his own reference image.

about the legs , like i said i work with original imageplanes
and after doing some research on batman anatomy , ive decided to make the legs look like this ,.
and about the tris , must of the tris are the mucsle mapping , since its a low poly character its important to create a muscle lines that will help in the rigging stage and add a lot to the animation ,. not every one is doing it but if i got high budget on the polycount and i didnt reach it so why not ? ,,.
and more about the tris , like BenDstraw said a game model will be converted into tris anyway , so it doesnt make a lot of diffrent . if i was about the convert it to high res model then the first thing that ill probably do is convert all the tris to quads , but sense im not planning to do that , i dont have nothing to worry about .
anyway ive finsihed the belt , whats left now is to reduce the polycount and twick some of the things that i dont like , so its still not final version . o and i hope you like it , cause im gonna create a tutorial on how to model batman , in my under development site "Maya For Games" , soon i will uvmap it , texture it , and probably create some animations , so if some1 will like to test it on his db game engine ill be more then happy ,. thanks for the comments guys , keep them coming ....

Ah, my bad i thought this was for cinematics. Its looking really good! Are you going to alpha map the cape to have the spikes at the bottom?

Well here is the new image ,,,
i didnt have time to work on the model this week
but i was managed to finish the uvmapping process .
now all i got left is texturing - rigging - and animations
the model is not finally rigged , ive just created a quick skellton with out even setting the weights just to see what im expected and just to show you a quick peek on how this model is about to look
tell me what you think guys , cause from here its going to a db game engine ...

Sweet! Looks just like the one from the cartoon (if you could find a good shader, that would be awesome)

nice work! its very faithful to the original.

can you show a close up of the face's wires, i reckon you could stand to loose some polys around the mouth.

good work!

Well, I WAS going to say something, but isntead I'll just say:

Great job, it looks great, and it looks like something I saw once in this odd PS2 game with all sorts of the superheroes in it, odd, can't remember the name. It wasn't popular, but it was entertaining for a couple hours.

looking great dude.

the link below is the site of a guy who is making the superman animated series with maya. That series is animated and drawn by the same artist that does the batman series. Check out some of his work, you might pick up a few things.
