Isn't that a 3D game with 2D for inventory?

Both runescapes are 3D. and moddelling the models would just take practice.

CINEMA 4D, in my opinion, is the best that's less then $1,000.

Erm, who the hell suggests a 600$ modelling package to a hobbiest programmer? Jesus H Christ... Nobody cares about the HIGH end software in these forums...Less than 1% of the people here can actually afford the HIGH end software.

Do yourself a favor, get MilkShape 3D. It's 25$ and if you follow the link in my signature you'll find video tutorials. Hows that for a REALISTIC suggestion?

Blender is nice because it's free, but the $25.00 for milkshape is well worth the price because it's easier to use initially than Blender and has decent animation abilities that work well in DB...

UVmapping is a problem in Milkshape so you may need something like lithunwrap to skin your models properly...

Final thought, milkshape has great import/export tools for 3-d models as well... Imports X format models and that's well worth the $25.00 alone when working with teams here in DB world

It depends..... RS1 was 3d but had 2D charaters walking around in a 3d Enviroment.

At least I think the goblins are 2d.....
RS2 is completly 3D

Labyrnth YOU FORGOT MY FAVORITE 3d Modeling program...
Wings 3D and its completly free!
This is of a shield I made in there....

Also you will need a program called The Gimp
Found Here ~ http://www.gimp.org/
Wings 3d Can be found here ~ http://www.wings3d.com/

Also dont give up when the going gets tough.....cause it will

Also you will need a nice level editor....
You should get a) Deled (found here ~ http://www.delgine.com/
Or Get b) 3d World Stuido (costs about $100) ~ Found here http://www.leadwerks.com/index.php?page=3DWorldStudio.htm
Well that should be enough for you for now....if you have any questions just ask! (or look around the fourms)

I own it. [sad huh lol]
I have seen Milkshape used for alot of things. I looked at it once or twice and didnt get interested in using it. But i have seen alot of nice models made with it so it can definatly be rated as a great tool. UV Map would help with unwraps for the models on Milkshape.

It took me about a day to learn..Its very different from blender....after just using Wings 3D...I had no idea what to do in blender! The nice thing is about wings 3d is it has its own UV mapper built in!
