Does anyone know if there are 45 degree walls, or if someone has made such a thing? This is in order to add angled sections that extend for more than one unit, so a curved wall like the kitchen walls aren't any good.

Vertical. So you could make an Octagon shaped room.

Yeah, tested that ages ago Batvink, where were you!

Slanted walls work fine, in fact as long as the segment is the right size, you can do all sorts of cool stuff with them, even made a working spiral staircase.

I had a quick look at the Segment editor, and decided I would need a couple of hours just to watch the videos to get it working. This was my attempt to shortcut the process

Uman, I don't want to use entities because I want to make sure the optimisation kicks in, and also because segments can be placed very quickly and accurately.

I think the optimisation in general is a bit dodgy at the moment.

Depending on your layout, entities can be quicker to make than segments.

And they are essential if you're doing alterations that overlap segments like you suggested.

You should watch the vidoes, there are a few tricks to the segment editor which aren't obvious.

Yes, I agree. Just need to find the time...

I think it's quite good personally. I've watched it add just half a corridor as you approach corners, rather than the full length. The only gripe I have about it is that the frame rate can quite literally halve as you approach junctions and add a large chunk of Polys to the workload.

I think that the simple thing

offx0 = 0
offy0 = 0
offz0 = 0
rotx0 = 0
roty0 = 45

is easyer then toying with the segment editer.
