Hi,

I know that the menu is customizable for the game that u make - but it only has NEW GAME and EXIT GAME in the menu...

I was wondering if its possible to add CREDITS in the menu and have it link to a video or a screen or a jpeg file or something like it.

Regards,
Nauman Shahid

Man, I've wanted that for so long! Let me think, it might be possible. I think there's a command to play a movie. If so, then we could easily make a credits video in something like Mindows Movie Maker and have it play when you click credits. I'll play around with it, biut I'm warning you, I don't think I have time for this, so if I do do it, it will take at least a week or too. Wait, before I get hopes up, I'm going to check if there's a play video command thing...

ok, it has the video command, and it has a command so that when the button is clicked, it will play the video. Only problem is, I don't know how to use the "video" command. I'm clueless, and the description isin't very good. ANy help would be apreciated.

I'll do it! well, I'll try, but first I need this changed to a dds.

I know a lot of scripting stuff (true, not as much as Merranvo) and if I get this today, it should be done by tomorrow!

lol, my image needs to be changed to a .dds too! lol . Do you have to have it changed anyways? Because I think it can be a .jpg (thats what I'm useing... but I havn't gotten it to show up yet.).

If we get this working, we should give it to Cellbloc for Riker 9! Unless he already has it

Guys, I can't check this out now (at work at the moment) but check the script for the storyzone and use the example avi that is somewhere in the files.

I have a good feeling that if you call it from the menu script, it will run easily and smoothly.

Give it a shot and let me know.

I'm pretty sure I know everything. Doubts are something rare in me and I am never wrong, as this signature can prove.

drats, it compiled my game all wrong, it was missing the backdrop, and there was a bunch of other glitches. hmm. wonder what went wrong.

Thanks you Vlad! I was going to make my own movie, I forgot about the sample one! And yes, the storyzone will show me how to use the "video" command! Thanks so much!

Ok everyone, here's a small demo of the credits in action!

http://files.filefront.com/Creditsrar/;4501238;;/fileinfo.html

Hope you enjoy!
-Sunflash

P.S. Just so you all know, The things I needed to make the credits was:

1) two simple lines of code
2) a "credits" button (can be any image)
3) an .AVI movie of the credits.

for number (3) I used Windows Movie Maker, and made the movie in minutes, hen I converted it to an .AVI movie useing a program called MMConvert.

download it here: http://www.download.com/MMConvertGUI/3000-2169_4-10427557.html?tag=lst-0-1

Enyoy!

Oh, one more thing, when the movie ends on the sample game I made above^ When the credits end, the movie goes on for like, 20 seconds. This was my error, when I made the movie, on accident I made the movie go on to long without anything happening. So you DON'T have to have that wait. I thought that that might scare some people so I decided to clear it up quickly

Hi Guys,

Sunflash when do you make a tutorial could please post a tutorial link in this forum - so that its easy for me to follow.

Also, you normally get IP banned from fourms. If you use dynamic IP your IP changes now and then - so that you can get back on the forums. I mean or you can just change your IP.

BUT - I'd say that you shouldn't do something to get banned from a site nyway.

Regards,
Nauman Shahid

@ you two guys talking about merranvo, here's how he did it!

1. Account "Merranvo" deleted. (admin action)
2. Account "OnePost" created. (By user formally known as "Merranvo)
3. Account "OnePost" name changed to "Merranvo".

My god... it is a genius...

Yep, and I know that the Mod Squad knows.
I suspected it even after I created OnePost, so I kept the name, it was fun anyways.

Heck if the FORUM MEMBERS knew it was me, what would prevent them? But for the life of me, I shall never know, so I changed my name, and waited to get banned. What do you know, it never comes.

In conclusion, god works in mysterious ways.
