how can I find out what commands can be used in kernel32.dll Can I just open it or is there something else i have to do

The website http://www.allapi.net has a good selection of Windows API's with pretty simple examples. Although it's in VB, it's going to be easier than looking at C++ examples.

Is there some kind of API you're looking for specifically? There's a good chance that if you know what you want to do and share it with us, either myself or someone else would know the api to use.

API Guide and API Viewer can bother be found on the allapi.net website stated previously and they are great. I use the programs while programming in C++,C#,VB. You can also look at msdn.com.

I downloaded the API guide and viewer and it looks like there is a ton of things that I am going to have to learn, I have visual basic 6.0 and vc++ 6.0 as well as dbc and dbp, I just wanted to know more about the system is all thank you for the help and the time to respond to my post
