OK, here it is, this shortly awaited tutorial!

WARNING: All material may be overly simplified to the extent that it becomes hard, please except my sincere apologies. To some individuals that are experienced with FPSC, this tutorial was meant for extremely new people, as all my tutorials will be.

I expect to be flamed by Merrenvo after this though. I'm sure I described some of the FPI language wrong.
If you have any questions, they will be answered (or attempted to be answered) here

I posted this somewhere else, but here's a little test thing I made useing this process:

http://files.filefront.com/Creditsrar/;4501238;;/fileinfo.html

one more thing, when the movie ends on the sample game I made above^ When the credits end, the movie goes on for like, 20 seconds. This was my error, when I made the movie, on accident I made the movie go on to long without anything happening. So you DON'T have to have that wait. I thought that that might scare some people so I decided to clear it up quickly.

What?! But that was the best part! Did you catch that awesome sound in the song that made it sound scratchy and blurry? Ahhh, music to my ears.

download the tut.

Edit: Chris, your one of the people that would be able to just skim over the tutorial, and probably only read the "Scripting Everything Together" section. Even that section will be easy for you (way to easy )

A little excessive on the smilies, and I would have prefered if you didn't make the code so small. It looks like it should work, and if it does, I am content. You showed the WIDELY ACCEPTED way of doing things, and it looks like it should help some people. Although I don't like the fact that you didn't tell the people they could use

JPEG (nice credits image), PNG, TGA, DDS, or BMP.
This needs to be reinforced, people keep asking to convert to DDS.

Well I like my things converted to .dds because it keeps everything clean. It's the format used by FPSC's buttons and backdrops. I just want the player when looking at the files to think it looks a bit professional. But thanks for your comments Merrenvo, it helps

Why don't you try it?

ARRGH! I forgot! Very sorry Merrenvo, I failed! It completely slipped my mind....

Well, to get the tutorial people have to come here, and thus they will most likely read your post.

@Rockdrala:

What they are referring to in the "Edit Post" caption is that it is a custom that if you are the last person speaking, and you wish to add something, that you edit your post. If you just add another post, the system has to record the new post, a new number is gererated, makes the system slower, etc, etc...

Cellbloc, I have looked at the design of their site and can see they automatic prunning enabled.. I currently run a site with same backend as theirs... they are using sql... it will not hurt...

http://support.studio505.net

and the library of terms I have on that site in my dictionary alone outweighs the number of posts they have here...

what im trying to say the backend they have can handle it.. especially with prunning enabled..

Your credits tut is outstanding. You will have your name and title
listed in our game when it's done. Now you can see a small avi demo
of the game before you press the new game menu! Cool. Keep up the good work dude.

Hmm, I don't understand why it's not working after you play the game... Merrenvo might though. If I get time today, I'll see if I can ask him
