Have set up my website:
http://www.thegameszone.has.it
Please visit it!
Im only 15 and have been doing DB for about half a year now. I'm making a game for the Retro Comp. - A 3D version of Asteroids - Imaginatively called Asteroids 3D tell me what you think (It's the first 'proper' game I've made!).
Screenshot below and Demo download available on my site too.

Looks cool, but I couldn't download it, because it gave me an error. I will try it again later. I'm also making a 3d remake of asteroids, so I must keep an eye on you .

Pretty cool looking game but didnt download for me, says that the file size of the .exe isnt the size of the recorded uncompressed size. Try zipping it and loading it again.

Sorry About that...I've corrected it now.
If anyone does download my game could you please tell me the fps of my game on your PC (In the top right corner of the screen).
On my PC the game runs pretty slowly, but at a playable speed, but as I have set the fps to 0 it could run too fast on other PC's. Please let me know if the game does run too fast, and suggest a good fps to set.
Cheers

To GCEclipse: - Try downloading it again - I've uploaded it again

To Flshing blade: - My PC's 350mhz and ive got a S3 savage 4 16mb graphics card, which isn't very good either. The fps on my pc averages 14/15 fps.

Does anyone have a good pc who could test it out for me

wow, this game reminds me of the first game i ever made with dark basic called shady valley, i also used dogga models simillar to yours. Nice game, dunno whether it's just me or your code but when i exceed the boundaries i get positioned at the other end instead of the boundary limit :\ nice game though

could you tell me what the FPS is on your PC?

I liked the way the pictures looked, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. You should make the ship have the physics that the original had.

I think calling it asteroids3d is a little misleading, unless you can get the astroids splitting (When you shout a big one it should split in2 two half size ones, when you shoot each half they should split to quarters etc and add a thruster control system like the original.

HOWEVER for a first game demo thats pretty darn good! the presentation is excellent, and the collsion detection works well too! I like the ship and asteroid models as well, and your website design is clean and clear. Good stuff!

Coming Soon! Kangaroo2 Studio... wait and quiver with anticipation! lol

right...
I have made quite a lot of changes to my game now, and i'll put in a post when I upload it. I have changed the craft physics so you accelerate etc. which works pretty nicely -
I've also made another level - a different 'planet' and i will be making a third too - The menu screens have been redesigned too - and the highscore works properly this time.
yes I know the asteroids should split up - but i thought that would be quite a lot of extra stuff which would probably slow the game down even more. But i think ill still call it asteroids 3d
whats a thruster control system?
what fps does it run at on your PC's?
Ill put in another post when the new version is uploaded...
