i just need to know how to build a game that is a stand-alone exe file so that anyone who downloads it can play it. not just owners of fpsc.

That's what FPSC is for.

It's only the .fpm files that can only be used by FPSC owners.

oh because i did that, and when i opened the my games folder, and looked at the contents it wasn't just the .exe file. it had .fpm's and the FPSC-Game file, and a bunch of others.

do i use the FPSC-Game file as the .exe for people to use?

i read in the build game section it said that you could publish a file that anyone could use. It said you select the options from the tabs above. I didn't see any options that said to make a separate file.
