I use Poser to create animations and Mimic to create talking models.
I have in the past saved the anims as individual BMP or JPG frames and then used a sprite sheet to load them.
I have recently been trying to use the "Load Animation" command, and have tried .AVI and .Quicktime file formats, but keep getting "Runtime error 2002 Could not load animation file.
Where am I going wrong ?.

Could be the compression format. Upload a small sample file, of an avi that does not work. Maybe someone could take a look see.

That wasnt the "small" I was expecting. Next time zip it up,goes down to 1.5MB. Nice doll.

Anyway, the avi works fine. That error is probably because dbp can't locate the file. I mistyped the name of the avi and it gave the same error you got. Check the filename and/or path in your code.

Sorry about the size of the avi
Still for some reason driving me nuts
Everything is in the project folder, so i can't see why the code is not working.
I have dozens of other project folders with no problems.
this is the only one using an avi file and its playing me up.
Sure to be something stupid

It was something stupid.
My code read load animation "avi\doll.avi",1
Instead of load animation "doll.avi",1
I was following the example in the help files and was under the impression that the type of file had to be put first.
Anyway,thanks for your help.
I think that allthough I,ve been coding since before "Amos", I have at 76 a good excuse for slowing down.
