Who are "you guys"?. They probably cost because it took them time and knowledge to make, just like anything else that is sold.

Yes, our comments, advice, and criticism are all free, and so is this Forum.
Even an occasional "pat on the back" is free too, but only if you act right.

if your referring to tgc, they're whats called nowadays a "company." althought teh concept may seem foreign to you, some people need to get money to live.

if you're referring to the people on these forums, they too just want to earn some money. modeling and animating takes a whole lot of time and work, and sometimes people just want to get a little bit of payment for their labor.

@delta1z3. Well, how can you expect FPSC to be free? Something that TGC worked for so hard and so long upon SHOULD be sold. it is basically MADE to be sold. And we want to make money, too. That's why we sell our games-because we CAN. however, most games I make will be free. The one I have in production(SOS: Shoot on Sight-The German Takeover will be free of course. But if I manage to make a game using all my own models, music etc. I will be allowed to sell it, so I most probably will. But for now, all games I make will be free for all those whom wish to play. There are however some excellent games here that are free(yes-FULL games.) I have only played one which I can recommend and that is Nigezu's Hidden In Darkness-very good production.

Gigapound Cat, I want my soul back, you can have your eleven dollars back too... I don't need it any more. I need my SOUL, the food has no flavor, the beer has no "zing", and the women... don't even make me start there.

I think paying for the actual FPS creator is enough, everything else should be free as all this hard work that gets put into the programs should be the commitment to the FPS creator and the other users, dont you agree?

i dont.

FPSC is an awesome program....i dont know how the hell TGC afforded to sel it for 50$...

i mean i thought the EA was super super cheap...and then v1 added so many features...and the price actually went down...

so if you are reffering to TGC products being free...then you have the wrong idea.

if you are reffering to customers who spend theire time to make programs....your idea is WAY off....

Actually, the price went up... don't you remeber that bully?
But things shouldn't be free, expecally if the person worked hard on it. except IceCream.
