This will more than likely be announced in the newsletter at some point.

There's no point asking the developers for information on these forums, they're too busy.

Hey, ya know what (not a flame, cause you weren't here), but us EAers, we got it for free, so their not gonna give us V2 for free (except maybe the EAers). And also, V1 came out in about october, so V2, probably in June-October, at the least.

Can't speak for everyone but here are my issues.

Shaders on my Radeon x850 pe do not work and the issue has not even been mentioned by tgc at least i have not seen mention of it to be corrected.

Fps capped at 30 is ridiculous (imo) i run doom 3, half life 2, F.E.A.R all at highest quality settings and frame rates in those never drop below 45 and for the most part are in the upper 70s.

Those are really it i mean of course i could nit pick more stuff but these two issues (imo) are major ones for me and until these are changed there is no way i would put out more cash for a V2.
I just hope that fpsc doesn't have the lifespan or support of the 3DGM the program has potential to be so much more.

How can someone that has the software for a couple of days be worried about the limits when it's so far from reaching the limits?

How can someone expect that a V2 of a software is free because he/she purchased V1? V1.1 or V1.2 ok... even a discount... but free? No. These guys, like all (or many) of us are here to make money so they can have house, family and the luxuries that a human being likes, like a cool new console or something.

Can we please stop the V2 discussions... it's simply non-sense.

Hey Merranvo... ANJL ok I can understand... but putting EAs above the rest, it's a just a tad elitist, wouldn't you agree?

I think V2 threads should be banned until it's announced.

I imagine there'll be 1.5 version, or the equivalent, out before then.

There's a suggestions forum for this kind of thing anyway.

V2 if called appropriately such a product presumably being better in some way than V1 should not be free to anyone so as to help TGC ensure they are investing development time in a product they can recieve a viable return on and thus put the effort in to realise the potential of FPSC.

Any interim bug fix patch for V1 that may be released to help rid users of some obvious bugs is another matter - that might be in TGC interest to give out at the time to V1 owners free of charge.

I would personally prefer that V2 would be a much improved product and that its retail price reflect that whatever the cost.

If then I cant afford it - well so be it. I understand I cant have it both ways - expect a professional quality product for low price - it dont work that way in reality - the maths wont let it.

Vlad, It is an old joke. It was made after the whiners complained for 10 pages about losing 5 bucks, and how they should get double that in return. (Hence, EA'rs get the free model pack).

Gosh, do we need a super FAQ?

There is no word yet if there is going to be a version 2. I do know that if they have it, they are going to invite all of the version 1 beta testers back.

So get ready to test I guess and wait for the next one.

P.S. Please Richard! I want version 2!

PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE....... Take it from someone who is a pro who has had nothing short but a belly full of crap in his life of the entertainment biz of bothe low-budget video and games! I'm going to say this just once and I'll shut up:Merranvo, That's pretty original and you have a point. Two: EVERY SINGLE GAME COMPANY AND OR SOFTWARE COMPANY THAT HAS A BUGGY PRODUCT RELEASES A PATCH FOR FREE. WHAT?!?!?!
DO YOU REALY THINK I'M OR ANYBODY ELSE IS GOING TO PAY FOR THERE PATCH?
IT'S BAD ENOUGH EA USERS GOT THE MODEL PACK FOR FREE. THE ONLY THING KEEPING ME FROM CALLING A LAWER ON THE TGC CREATORS IS BECAUSE I'M TRING TO GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE. God help you people! Rj

What was 1? And what was original?

2. No, they haven't. Sierra is a genius. Allow people to modify the engine, so that more people want HL2 and more people hang on to the HL 'mood'. If the product is a one time use product, or something the company doesn't care about, then they won't patch it. The only purpose of patching is to get more customers and keep the old ones until the next release is out. Which, by my calculations, is 3 years.

3. We lost money, and we helped build the consumer database they had as of now. Granted, we don't deserve the model pack, but it isn't grounds to sue, or grounds to do anything.

On number 3, you can't sue for that anyway, but you could sue if they had just given it to one person for free.

And the reason for that is that there was a huge uproar about EA costing 'bout $52, and V1 'bout $44. REASONS ARE THERE.

And who are "The TGC Creators"? Do you mean Lee?

That's exactly what I do, that's why I don't pay to much attention to what you say. Oh and congratulation with the site, certainly loos like a pro with a belly yada yada yada.

The HL2 mod scene is all smoke and mirrors. Very few people get past the crappy site stage.

It doesn't matter how many patches sierra brings out, your far more likely to get something done with FPSC.

Can I just add...

Who / when / what / wher / why V2?

Have TGC even whispered it in their office? Or is this just a disgruntled user myth?

I thought V1 had bugs.....then I realised I just didnt know how to use it properly.
Admittedly theres a couple of issues. But nothing worth dumping on the program about.

Did alot of people expect "Battlefield 2 - Your version" in a box?
