Bullet trails are quite easy - you have a current and last bullet position, so for each bullet you could have a plain that textures with a bullet trail and is stretched between these points.

Ohh, I hate it when people ask for things by comparing it to another game. It takes an extra second for me to read that, and that extra second is a part of my life.

Van B, you should know better. Half of these people here don't even know what plain is, I don't even know what a plain is, but it sounds like you may be talking about positioning an image in a 3d relm. Yeah, easy once you know what to do. But that will have to be hard coded, and less then 1% of the people here own DBP. Of course you will also have to edit the FPSC engine to take in the texture path from the GUNSPEC.txt for it to be practical, and it wouldn't hurt to have bulletspeed values either, and a bullet texture too... it is all in the same realm.

Now we just need someone to do it, or compile...

Yes, depending on what English you are talking about "Plane" and "Plain" are the same thing.

Yes it is possible, you would have to modify the FPSC to do it.

@Skalex:

Almost. Plane is a "slang" for AirPlane, but you are correct. Plane is a flying thing.
