I have just finished a very fast and easy to use particle Dll
for all you 2d games and demos.

Great for making Snow, Fire, Smoke ,Blood, Explosions and Waterfalls
etc.

As With all my other Dlls it`s 100% freeware... Enjoy

Look for DarkSide StarBurst Dll.....

Hey Snowy,

I had a play around with your DLL and found it to be a pleasure to work with. As a simple to use, fast 2d particle system it's spot on, no more exuses for lame explosion effects in 2d games now, or even psudo 2d worlds made inside 3d environments can have much kaboom without too much hassle. Well done m8, I plan to have a look at the rest of your DLL's very soon.

thanks, grant.

PS. I will definately be using this in future games and demos, expect credit where credit's due, thanks again.

This I gotta play with

edit: just downloaded, loaded up demo1 and was quite amazed... very smooth and realistic looking. This will come in handy alright, as a matter of fact I'm starting a new project this very minute based entirely around obscene amounts of blood and gore...

cheers!

I dont bother making screen shots most of the time as the Dlls are
tiny to download even on 54k dialup.

If you would like to see some of my Dlls in action then goto this
post from a few weeks back and download the HeadZappa Tech demo
i wrote!!!

Ps:- It also has screen shots!!!

I couldn't find Darkside Starburst in the DLL linked page. I see a bunch of other Darkside stuff, but no Starburst. Where is it?

Actually, that's the link I was saying that I clicked on, not the tech demo one. Seems that you hadn't uploaded Starburst at that time, since I clicked again and it was there.
